i grasped your garments
as You walked by
i'm holding on tight
i'm not letting go
i want You to know
i'm not letting go
so please don't turn away
dont leave me here to die
i want You close to me
i want you in my life
cuz i know i cant live
without You by my side
so dont let me shut You out
do not let me run and hide
tear me apart piece by piece
cleave me from impurities
piece me together again
pure and holly, free of sin.

The Sinners Prayer
I am reaching with unclean hands
And I can't seem to catch the light
It slips through my fingers and is
Drown by the infinite night
Impure untouched unclean
Here I am on my nees
Begging you to notice me
I'm crying out, God! Please!
Lord send your rain
Let it wash over me
Hear my solemn cry
Set my spirit free!
And I can't seem to catch the light
It slips through my fingers and is
Drown by the infinite night
Impure untouched unclean
Here I am on my nees
Begging you to notice me
I'm crying out, God! Please!
Lord send your rain
Let it wash over me
Hear my solemn cry
Set my spirit free!

To be Known is to be loved: by chriss kinsley
I am a woman of no distinction
of little importance.
I am a women of no reputation
save that which is bad.
You whisper as I pass by and cast judgmental glances,
Though you don’t really take the time to look at me,
Or even get to know me.
For to be known is to be loved,
And to be loved is to be known.
Otherwise what’s the point in doing
either one of them in the first place?
I WANT TO BE KNOWN.
I want someone to look at my face
And not just see two eyes, a nose,
a mouth and two ears;
But to see all that I am, and could be
all my hopes, loves and fears.
But that’s too much to hope for,
to wish for,
or pray for
So I don’t, not anymore.
Now I keep to myself
And by that I mean the pain
that keeps me in my own private jail
The pain that’s brought me here
at midday to this well.
To ask for a drink is no big request
but to ask it of me?
A woman unclean, ashamed,
Used and abused
An outcast, a failure
a disappointment, a sinner.
No drink passing from these hands
to your lips could ever be refreshing
Only condemning, as I’m sure you condemn me now
But you don't.
You’re a man of no distinction;
Though of the utmost importance.
A man with little reputation, at least so far.
You whisper and tell me to my face
what all those glances have been about, and
You take the time to really look at me.
But don’t need to get to know me.
For to be known is to be loved and
To be loved is to be known.
And you know me.
You actually know me;
all of me and everything about me.
Every thought inside and hair on top of my head;
Every hurt stored up, every hope, every dread.
My past and my future, all I am and could be.
You tell me everything,
you tell me about me!
And that which is spoken by another
would bring hate and condemnation.
Coming from you brings love, grace,
mercy, hope and salvation.
I’ve heard of one to come
who could save a wretch like me
And here in my presence, you say
I AM He.
To be known is to be loved;
And to be loved is to be known.
And I just met you.
But I love you.
I don’t know you,
but I want to get to.
Let me run back to town
this is way to much for just me.
There are others: brothers,
sisters, lovers, haters.
The good and the bad, sinners and saints
who should hear what you’ve told me;
who should see what you’ve shown me;
who should taste what you gave me;
who should feel how you forgave me.
For to be known is to be loved;
And to be loved is to be known.
And they all need this, too.
We all do
Need it for our own.

~Heroism~
What is heroism?
Is it of the drave who go
Where battles faught against their foe,
And when won a cry goes out
"Victory!" they all do shout.
No! It is not of the braves,
Whose names are written on their graves
And songs sung of many a deed
That they so valiantly did lead.
You could be a hero,too
Just by doing what you do
And you will find, without being crowned,
Your name in history will be found.

GAZING INTO HIS FACE
Look into your Fathers face
His loving eyes dim all disgrace
He's telling you He loves you
And isn't that enough?
His loving eyes dim all disgrace
He's telling you He loves you
And isn't that enough?

PERFECT PEACE
Lord take this fear from me
I can't live this way
I can't have a life consumed
By fears and doubts one more day.
Lord I want to be free
And I feel like I'm missing out
And I feel like I'm missing out
On life and everything
That you have for me.
And I know I can't live past
The disappointment that I feel
When I know I can give you
So much more. And Lord...
I want to give you my all,
Without fear, knowing that
You will catch me
If ever I were to fall
I want to be free to love You
Free to worship You
Free to give You
All that I am.

TEACH US YOUR WAYS
Teach us your ways, oh Master,
That we would walk as You do;
For if we walk as You do, You abide in us.
Teach us Yours ways, oh Lover,
That our love would always hold true;
For if we love one another, You abide in us.
Teach us Your ways, oh Giver,
That we would always give to one another;
For if we give to one another, You abide in us.
Teach us Your ways, oh Forgiver,
That we would always forgive one another;
For if we forgive one another, You abide in us.
Teach us Your ways, oh Servant,
That we would be servants to all mankind;
For I we serve, You abide in us.
Teach us Your ways, oh Creator,
That we may be one with You;
For if we are one with You, You abide in us.
Teach u s Your ways, oh Maker of Peace,
That all mankind would be in peace;
For if we have peace, You abide in us.
Teach us Your ways, oh Giver of Light.
That Your light would shine through us;
For if Your light shines through us, You abide in us.
Teach us Your ways, oh Giver of Mercy,
That we would be merciful, just as you are;
For if we have mercy, You abide in us.
Teach us Your ways, oh Giver of Life,
That our lives would always be for You;
For if we live for you, you abide in us
