Why has the excitement died down?
Where is the yearning for more?
Have we lost all sense of direction?
Where are the fools for Christ?
Who do I turn to?
Where are the examples?
When the shofar blows, who answers?
When the Lord speaks, who listens?
Why has complacency crept in?
Why have we gone astray ?
Where is the strong wall of men?
Why have we let things slip in?
Where is the zeal for righteousness?
It's time to rise up, shake off the dust,
Free yourself from complacency!
Re consecrate yourself to Him!
Put away your marriages
Of foreign and worldly things
And be with Him!
Becca, your poems are awesome. They show us of what is inside of you. I love the poem above, about complacency is what really needs to happen. I know I am working on that now.
